No automated tools:

Ingredient databases often show prices for only a single vendor

Limited initial data:

Users manually update prices, leading to inaccuracies.

Outdated data: .

No current application offers

recipe scanning or file uploads

to streamline cost calculation.

Insights

Last week I ran out of Cake boxes 45*30*8.

I spent almost an hour searching the web for a vendor that sells these specific boxes.

I came up with about 4 options and had to decide whether to over pay or drive 45 minutes (in each direction) to get my boxes.

Having this App WOULD HAVE REDUCED the time I spent on the search by 90%
